Outlook and Vision of Taipei MRT for the New Year to Come

One year has just come and gone. In retrospect, over the past year, apart from having completed the construction of the Banqiao line Phase II and the Tucheng line and having them come into operation, DORTS has reached the targets of launching the construction of the Songshan line and the Taipei City section of the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport Access MRT System from Sanchong to Taipei.

For the new year to come, DORTS will speed up the implementation of Taipei MRT Stage II spanning 62.4 km, which encompasses the Neihu line, Xinzhuang line, Luzhou line, Nangang Extension and Xinyi line, Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport Access MRT System Taipei City section from Sanchong to Taipei, Songshan line as well as the 15.4 km-long Circular line Phase I. Furthermore, with a view to optimizing the MRT network and providing a more efficient and convenient MRT service, DORTS will keep planning consequent MRT lines and wooing financial support.
